1-3/16” LARGE TWEETER DESIGNED FOR HIGH RESOLUTION
Tweeters 1-3/16″ (30 mm) have a wider area than many tweeters. This makes direct vocal sound reproduction through the extremely high-frequency spectrum. Flush and surface assembly options are included.
A wide 1-3/16″ (30mm) titanium hard dome is the ultimate for high-frequency performance with its compound curvature diaphragm.
NEW BI-AMP CONNECTION
The XR-1701P’s include bi-ampable crossover network box. With precision you can drive the tweeter and woofer from the XR401-4 independently. A high-reliability poly switch and resistor are also used to optimize the network box.
FLUSH OR ANGLE MOUNT TWEETER
Hardware for mounting to allow both angled and flush mounting options is offered.
A bracket is used in order to facilitate the assembly of a number of types of cars.

These exceptional speakers will handle up to 100 watts RMS, so you’ll maximize their performance when you power them with a nice amp. And the included external crossovers let you amplify the woofers and tweeters separately for an even stronger sound.
Custom Brackets: Kenwood XR-1701P Woofing devices are converted into factory substitutes for various Ford, GM, Hyundai, Toyota, and VW vehicles using included brackets. The brackets are for many uses, marked for trimming.
Crossover: Each crossover has screw terminal inputs and outputs that will accommodate bare wire or spade connectors up to 0.315″ wide. (Speaker wire is not included with the system.) The output level of the tweeters is adjustable; choose 0 dB or -3 dB. The crossovers also have bi-amp inputs, one input for the tweeter and one for the woofer. When bi-amping the speakers, the input jumpers need to be removed. Using four amplifier channels to bi-amp the speakers typically improves the dynamic range and presents an easier load for the amp(s) to drive. The crossover slope is 12 dB/octave, high-pass, and low-pass.
