History
In 1979, a US Air Force retiree living in Arizona saw a growing number of vehicles driving around with towels and rags on the dash to combat the desert sun’s intense heat and glare.
He experimented with a variety of materials in search of the optimum texture (to decrease glare) and insulation (to reduce heat build-up) and then introduced the perfect carpet for his new product after adding a latex backing for shape preservation.
